Wizard's First Rule

This is my current book of the moment. I got introduced to it through the television show, Legend of the Seeker. I watched the premier with a friend it was hilariously terribad. I decided to look into the books since I had hear good things about the author, Terry Goodkind. To pick up the book was a bit intimidating it large on the scale of Atlas Shrugged. But after the second chapter I was pretty much sucked it. It is a fast paced read that flows easily and keeps interest up. I'm not sure I've come across anything very interesting plot wise. It is a rehash of a lot of different fantasy stories. In the end the only noteworthy aspect may be the characterization, but I'm not without hope that the actual story will develop some ideas or philosophy that are engaging. I'm at about page 200 or 1000 so I'll let you know.
